I started working as an Environmental Consultant at an Environmental Firm in Buffalo, NY right after graduation working on Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and diverse environmental projects revolving around project monitoring and contractor oversight after passing all required certifications. I got to travel around a lot for environmental inspection as well as for environmental sampling. Eventually started to assist in project report writing which I thoroughly enjoyed.

After about a year and half of working in this field I decided to switch to a more geology focused career and decided to switch jobs to a new company as a Geological Field Analytical Scientist. 

 

At this new job I was placed in the hydrology division where I worked on groundwater and surface water projects for mostly solid waste management sites. I learned a lot about groundwater ecosystem from the initial well installation to maintenance and effective sampling as well as troubleshooting. Unfortunately our department at this company had to close down and so I left the job and left the country (USA) and moved to Nagaland - India.

A few months after I moved, COVID-19 started and so I was stuck here. I got a job as an Assistant Catering Manager to sustain myself and keep occupied. I learned a lot about the business aspect and financial planning as well as the importance of sales and advertising.

Now, I AM ready to venture out into the world and get back to Geology/Environment industry. I have also equipped myself with data science and Python as well as other data analysis skills which I self taught so that I can be more equipped to perform a wide variety of tasks.
